Welcome to the Rigby Police Department
Rigby Idaho is the “birthplace of television” and the home of the first Edwards Theater. It is a beautiful area with a long family-friendly history, and its’ police aim to keep it that way.
The Rigby Police Department operates under the direction of Chief Allen Fullmer. Chief Fullmer was hired by the Rigby City Council in 2022 and oversees the department at the discretion of Rigby’s current mayor, Richard Datwyler. Working together with our community we strive to promote a safe and positive place to live.

Rigby Police Reports & Forms
Public Records Request
To request copies of police reports, please fill out the Public Records Request Form then bring it to our office, fax it to (208)745-1949, or email it to [email protected]. It can take 7-10 days from the date of the incident for reports to be made available, and they may only be released when the incident is no longer under investigation.
Application For Employment
Fill out applications completely and follow all instructions. When you have completed the application bring it to our office, or call us at 208-745-1951 to make other arrangements. Applications will be kept on file for 1 year.
Complaint Against Police Personnel
Rigby Police is committed to perform all duties with respect and professionalism. If you have reason to believe that an employee of our department has acted inappropriately, fill out this form and bring it or email to the Chief of Police and he will investigate.
Rigby Police Department Directory
The Rigby Police office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:00. You may come in to the office during office hours or call anytime. When the office is closed your call will be forwarded to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, who as needed, will connect you with an officer or dispatch an officer to your location.
